Hearing Loss Association of Houston is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Houston chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America. The HLA-Houston chapter was established in 1986 and used to be Houston SHHH, or, the Houston chapter of Self-Help for Hard of Hearing. It serves the greater Houston area and works closely with the HLA-Clear Lake chapter.

Houston Advocacy exists with recent and current representation in state and local endeavors:
We meet on the second Saturday of every month except June and December. The monthly meeting is held at St. Dominic's Diocesan Center in the classroom in the Residence Hall. Drive in through the guard gate to the first road past Murkovsky Hall and turn right to park alongside the road. The Residence Hall is between Murkovsky Hall and the Chapel. On entering the hall, sign in, and turn left to the classroom which has two double doors.
